This is just a short post.
It's been so long since my last one, that it may have appeared that something had happened to me.
In a way, it has — I fell in love.
I started contracting for Hactar around the middle of 2023.
The project was a gnarly Wordpress to Wagtail data migration, and within a few months I was wondering if we were going to make it official.
Cut to April 2024, and I'm now a permanent part-time developer at this amazing agency. I couldn't be happier, working with such wonderful, talented, ethical people.
Between then and now, rolling around my head has been a rough draft of a lengthy post on how to data migrations right (that seems to be a speciality of mine), but life has just always managed to get in the way.
Maybe I'll finally get around to writing and publishing that in the new year.
In any case: here's to finding your soulmates, however late in the day that may be.
